Nutrition Challenge - March 16 - April 17
Registration Now - March 16 (by Midnight)

To register you must email vitalitychallenges@polk-county.net and state that you would like to participate in the Nutrition Challenge or you may call (863) 534-6046. You must do this no later than midnight March 16. If you do not register, you cannot participate in the challenge.

This challenge is an individual challenge and it has two parts. For you to earn 300 Vitality points both portions of the challenge must be complete.

1. Attend at least one nutrition class provided by IFAS/Polk County, Andrea Nikolai or
    Aetna Health Coach,Ashley Enueme, and sign in at that class.

2. There is no one size fits all when it comes to nutrition. Based on the USDA's choosemyplate.gov recommendation, this challenge requirement will be to consume 3 cups of vegetables and 2 cups of fruit daily for 21 days during the challenge period. Note: The fruits and vegetables shown or featured in these links are a suggestion. Any fruit and vegetable of your choosing is allowed.

How will we track how many fruits and vegetables you eat?

This portion of the challenge is based on the honor system. When you email vitalitychallenges@polk-county.net to register for the challenge, then you will be sent a worksheet. With the worksheet, you will simply indicate (with circles or check marks) that you have eaten 3 cups of vegetables and 2 cups of fruit in one day. You must consume the recommended fruit and vegetable serving size each day for at least 21 days during the challenge time period. You may eat any fruits or vegetables you would like to eat. You may return the worksheet through inter-office mail, email, or hand deliver no later than the Tuesday following each full week.
