The 2019 Polk County Agri-Fest will be held this year from 03/11/19 - 03/15/19 and from 03/18/19 - 03/22/19, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Spend the day helping Polk County’s 4th Graders learn about our diverse Agriculture Industry. Throughout this ten-day field trip, 6,000 students and their teachers will explore interactive exhibits and attend hands-on workshops each day on citrus, beef cattle, phosphate, small farms, horticulture, and forestry. Positions include group leaders, citrus station kitchen assistants, and station helpers. This event is held at the UF/IFAS Polk County Extension Service complex, located at 1702 U.S. Hwy. 17 S., Bartow, FL 33830.
A Volunteer Training Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 7th at 4:00 p.m. in the Valencia Room at the Polk County Extension Office, 1702 U.S. Hwy. 17 S., Bartow. However, volunteers are not required to attend the Training Workshop to participate.
